Certificate Overview

The postbaccalaureate certificate in CEDEV requires 15 credits consisting of 5 courses and introduces concepts and practical strategies useful to those new to the profession or those who have experience working with community or development related institutions. The program also meets the needs of those who are considering a career in community and economic development and want to find out if this profession is right for them.

Curriculum

The following courses are required for the postbaccalaureate certificate. These courses also apply to the MPS in CEDEV.

  • CEDEV 430 Principles of Economic Development Planning

  • CEDEV 452 Rural Organization

  • CEDEV 500 Principles of Community and Economic Development and Leadership

  • CEDEV 509 Population, Land Use and Municipal Finance

  • CEDEV 575 Methods and Techniques for Community and Economic Development
